MLA President, Denise Savino-Erichsen, welcomed attendees to the scenic Pacific coast for the 2026 MLA Fall Conference, October 16-18.
Held at the renowned Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay, the conference provided an exceptional setting for industry leaders to engage in meaningful discussions, strengthen professional relationships, and explore key issues shaping the future of the industry. Set against the backdrop of California's Pacific coast, the event fostered productive collaboration, valuable networking, and the exchange of innovative ideas.
Daniel Doderer, Economist and Senior Consulting Speaker with ITR Economics kicked off the conference on Friday morning and delivered an engaging presentation on the economic outlook for 2027 and beyond, highlighting key trends shaping the business environment in the years ahead.
While the U.S. economy is expected to continue growing, Doderer noted that growth is likely to moderate in 2027 as businesses and consumers navigate ongoing inflationary pressures, labor challenges, and economic uncertainty.
Doderer discussed how factors such as AI investment, data center expansion, and continued technological innovation are creating new opportunities across a variety of sectors. He also encouraged business leaders to take advantage of a more favorable interest rate environment to invest in their organizations, strengthen operations, and position themselves for future growth.
His message to attendees was clear: organizations that remain financially disciplined, understand how broader economic trends affect their business, and stay adaptable to changing market conditions will be best positioned for long-term success.
Following the economic presentation, Allied members Airwallet and Alliance Laundry Systems LLC wrapped up the day with allied member presentations.
Saturday morning featured the remaining Allied Member presentations, with Cents, ESD/Greenwald, PayRange, Setomatic Systems, and Whirlpool (Maytag) rounding out the conference program. Each of allied member presenter brought their expertise and knowledge to the stage.
